Patrick Lloyd Brooks

      Patrick was a FireFighter and President of West Hartford Fire Department Local 1241, Patrick Brooks, 38, a 10 year veteran of the West Hartford Fire Department died Tuesday November 12, 2002. Patrick was on duty at the Berkshire Road Station on Engine 5 when he mentioned he wasn't feeling well and went to lie down. His brother firefighters were unable to revive him and he was transported to Hartford Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

      Patrick was Firefighter of the Year in 1995 and was awarded its bronze star twice for meritorious service including reviving a heart attack victim at a convalescent home in 2000. He also was involved in a collection for New York City Firefighters after 9-11 that generated $57,500 in donations. Patrick represented his brothers as President of Local 1241 for 6 years with pride.

     Our brother Patrick leaves behind his wife Rita and three sons Patrick, Anthony, and Christopher.
